Dear Twinka, who thinks so diligently of your friends, what a joy to eat fresh fish! And we look forward to lunching with you on Saturday. The tins of peaches are here. I hasten to tell you that there has been a change in my leg pain. Yesterday it was dreadful, but accidentally. This morning something has definitely changed. If the improvement were confirmed, would Titan be able to take you all the way to Neuilly? No, I think Soulié de Morant would come to your house, because of his staircase. I kiss you, dearest Twinka, and I am having lunch in your honor, and so is Maurice, who is at your feet. Colette.”
