Raoul DUFY (1877.1953)

Autographed letter signed to Madame Letourneaux.

Two pages in-4°. Envelope.

Aspet. February 1 , 1945.

Taking refuge at Roland Dorgelès's home in Aspet, Dufy gives news of his wife Eugénie-Émilienne Brisson.

"Dear Moune, I have good news from Emilienne and I'm happy she's settling in well in her new home, where I'll see her again soon. Thank you for all your kindness towards us. I sent you a telegram asking you to bring some flowers from Nice to Emilienne for me. We have an anniversary coming up. I like everything she tells me about the house. Please make sure she doesn't get too tired. I'm getting my affairs in order and I hope to arrange a trip by truck to Perpignan, and I'll try the same way to Vence if possible. Thank you for the flowers. See you soon, and kisses. Raoul Dufy."
