“My dear colleague, I have just had a small bout of the flu and I have been at home all week. I hope to be able to resume my activities next week and I will be happy to receive your visit. I can always be found on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 10 a.m. after my class at PCN, 12 rue Cuvier. And on Friday 10 a.m. also at the School of Physics. In the afternoon I am usually at school. I thank you very much for the sympathy you show me in your letter. Please extend my respectful greetings to your parents and please thank your mother for the honor she did me by attending my lecture. Yours faithfully. P. Curie. »
