Written during the occupation by Jean Giraudoux, La Folle de Chaillot – a play in two acts – was created at the Athénée theater by Louis Jouvet after the death of its author.
The gala performance on Friday December 21, 1945 (date of the photo presented here) was held for the benefit of the 1940 Resistance Association, under the effective presidency of General de Gaulle, in uniform.
