“Dear René Cornaud, I received your “tribute to Godefroy de Bouillon” at the time, for which I thank you. What impressed me the most in your recent activities is the quality of some of your drawings* that you should have transformed into jewelry. Either in an artisanal way or industrially by stamping. I congratulate you on your action, your energy, your courage. I wish you all the best for better health and a happy new year for you and your family. Matthew. * including the very beautiful one attached."

 

At the head of the letter, Mathieu pasted a reproduction of one of the said drawings, covering his own engraved number.
