“Miss, I was very touched by the wishes and words of encouragement that you were kind enough to send me.  It is a powerful comfort for me, in the dark hours we are going through, to find at my side people as dedicated and active as yours .

If the past year was that of disaster, 1941 must be that of national recovery. More than ever, we must concentrate all our efforts and devote our last energies to the essential work: the liberation of France .

With my best wishes for the New Year, I ask you, Mademoiselle, to accept my respectful homage. C. de Gaulle. »
