In 1963, a meeting with producer Jacques Canetti led Nicolas Treatt to photograph the leading musicians and performers of the Parisian scene. It was during this period that he forged a friendship with Serge Gainsbourg, with whom he shared a common Russian cultural background. Gainsbourg then entrusted him with the artwork for his album "Confidentiel".

Recently discovered in the family archives, this photograph has never been revealed. The series from which it comes unveils the behind-the-scenes process of creating this major, minimalist album: from the composer's private life at work at home
to its recording in the studio.
