33 rpm album, the only one recorded by Catherine Deneuve, released by Philips in 1981, enriched with a double dedication from its composer, Serge Gainsbourg and its performer, Catherine Deneuve.
Composed of eleven tracks created by Serge Gainsbourg, the album testifies to the friendship between the two artists during the period of post-breakup despair experienced by Gainsbourg after his separation from Jane Birkin.
Following the film "Je vous aime" by Claude Berri (1980), in which Deneuve and Gainsbourg co-starred and performed "Dieu est un fumeur de havanes," a true friendship blossomed between these two leading figures of French culture. Gainsbourg would later confess that Deneuve "saved his life" in the early 1980s and steered him away from his suicidal thoughts.
