Vintage silver gelatin print depicting the Catalan painter in full contemplation of the bay of Port-Lligat, at dawn, from the window of his bedroom.

Magnificent shot of Dalí, with his moustaches erect, haloed by the rising sun above the rocky lands of Cap Creus.

The painter prided himself on being the first Spaniard to see the sunrise. Indeed, Port Lligat being located at the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, Dalí had a mirror installed in his room which reflected the first rays of the rising sun all the way to his bed.
