Keystone Photo stamp on the back and butterfly (stuck in the margin) with typed caption: Salvador Dali gave a press conference today at a Parisian publisher, on the occasion of the publication of the "most expensive book in the world" Don Quixote, illustrated by the famous painter.
In 1957, publisher Joseph Foret commissioned Dalí to create impressive lithographs and an extraordinary composition of illustrations for Miguel de Cervantes' famous book, Don Quixote . Dalí used an air gun to project ink pellets. The ink, splattering across the lithographic stone, provided Dalí with the basis for his inspiration.
Photograph dated on the back December 10, 1957.
