Keystone Photo stamp on the back and butterfly (glued in the margin) with typewritten caption: Salvador Dali today gave a press conference at a Parisian publisher, on the occasion of the publication of “the most expensive book in the world” Don Quixote , illustrated by the famous painter.
In 1957, publisher Joseph Foret commissioned Dali to produce impressive lithographs and create an extraordinary composition of illustrations from Miguel Cervantes's famous book Don Quixote . For this purpose, Dali used an air gun which projected ink balls. The paint spreading in a burst on the lithographic stone, thus gave Dali the basis of his inspiration.
