And what a joy it is to be able, thanks to you, to place faces, names, and destinies in this Saintonge region that I travel through so often, and whose beautiful light I rediscover between your pages. And yet, perhaps even more than in the Charentes region, it is to your evocation of the irresistible and curiously triumphant charm that once reigned upon entering Paris from the west that I owe one of my most vibrant emotions in reading your work.
