« My dearest Irene, why do you think Jean is angry? It's madness, and I hope my own madness was just as great when I thought you were angry. How I pity you, my poor Irene, for being ill. But I am very happy to hear what you tell me about Auric. Will you all be back soon? Is Serge with you? I will be back in Paris around October 10th. I don't know yet if I will be able to go to Lucien's in Touraine. It all depends on the weather. I won't write you any longer, my dear Irene, because the postman is coming, and then I would have to wait until Monday to send you the letter. Get well soon, my dear Irene. RR
