The ancestor

The molten earth blazed, an enormous furnace.

On the deserted globe, like a fiery metal

Matter floated without breath and without form,

In the inevitability of his brutal labor.

And the vapors rose from the belly of the crater.

Then, with a tremendous and massive collapse,

The ocean that hovered above the earth 

Collapsed on the inferno of the primitive volcano.

So, by the seas, in the purpurine dawn

Breathing with effort the warm breaths of the wind,

Slowly a filthy and soft gelatin

The drag – dark worm and only living being. –
