Note intended for the newspaper, announcing the concert he was going to give on August 26, 1861 in the hall known as the "Conversation Room" in Baden, at the invitation of the director of the city's casino, Édouard Bénazet, as part of the annual music festival held there – Berlioz conducted works there in 1844, 1853 and from 1856 to 1863.

" Mr. ^H. Berlioz is currently preparing in Baden the grand concert of August 26 in which several of his most important compositions will be heard ; among others his symphony from Harold in Italy , and the great Tuba mirum from his Requiem, which have not yet been heard by the public in Baden so familiar with most of Mr. Berlioz's other works.

The singers and virtuosos who will perform at this musical event, for which Mr. Bénazet is providing Mr. Berlioz with splendid resources, are Ms. ^Rosa Kastner-Escudier [the pianist], ^Ms. Monrose [ the singer], ^Mr. Sivori [the violinist], Renard [the singer] , and Grodvolle [the violinist]. All the staff of the Grand Duke's chapel [of Baden] will participate, along with the artists from Baden .
