Superb abstract drawing dedicated to the Belgian surrealist artist, Théodore Koenig.
On the back of the drawing, Chaissac wrote a poem dedicated to Malraux.
Eight verses signed and dated from Ste Florence, September 16, 1959.

The barrier is broken / and the wheel of thunder /
next to the aviary / which mourns the rooster of the fricassee /
to celebrate the abundance / of the rocky land /
where luck smiled / after calamitous times /
