“Sir, I don’t know where to begin to tell you all the misfortunes we had from May 22 to 24. I spent 3 days and 2 nights in the store without knowing what was going on around us (...) these scoundrels from the federations who only passed back and forth in front of the store asking if there were any men in the house, finally we were all saved safe and sound, half an hour after being delivered from our cruel enemies. We still had something left that we no longer thought about, it was the Luxembourg powder magazine (…) who were forced to abandon it and it was blown up, this caused terrible damage to the neighborhood. In the store, there are 6 broken tiles, in the dome, 1 in the front, 1 in the small store, in your apartment (…) thank God we are still happy at the price of so many others that he does not They only have their eyes left to cry, these scoundrels burn down all the posts they are forced to abandon, it's terrible to see. Sir, my wife and my little one join me to pay our respects to you and to Madame Laroche. Brown.
