"My dear wife, I received a note from Georges this morning. I'm sending you his letter; you'll see that he wrote to Rodolphe asking him to send [André] Marty his woodcut depicting a large rooster with a naked woman astride it, smoking . It's the woodcut that needs to be sent. Would you like to look for it? It should be in one of the three workshops; you'll recognize it easily. Wrap it carefully between two small boards and stick on the label with the address I'm sending you. It's best to send it by rail."

I wrote to you yesterday, wanting to tell you to go see L. Simon about your pain. You should do your best to go while Paul is well, and you can take the opportunity to show him to the doctor. The son is as good as the father, and he needs to know the children to treat them properly. Not a word from Lucien, which is strange; I told him to come and relax here for a few days. I send you and the children my love. My regards to Mrs. Tanguy. Your husband, C. Pissarro.
