Adapted from Alberto Moravia's novel, Contempt, directed in 1963 by Godard, has left an indelible mark on cinematic history, notably for the scene of Bardot, naked, declaiming to the music of Georges Delerue the mythical question: "Do you find my buttocks pretty... and do you like my breasts?"
