“Dear Renée, ‘Disapproval’? Certainly not. But I was, and still am, too tired to write. And it would have required such a long letter, with endless ‘considerations’ (but none of them pleasant). ‘Prometheus’? I believe that’s already been covered on the radio. What about your Leonardo?”
No, no, I'm not feeling wonderful at all , and this very morning I had to call the doctor in Vence (who, incidentally, reassured me: it was just a false sore throat). My heart is faltering, but I still allow you to kiss me. André Gide.
