All his life, Delacroix became interested in felines, which he observed, with fascination, from the 1820s, in the garden of plants, soaking up their attitudes and their elegance. He regularly visited, with his friend Antoine-Louis Bare, the menageries of Fauves de la Foire de Saint-Cloud and the Museum of Natural History, to study animals on the spot.

 

Format 12.50 x 20.50 cm.

Presented in a modern black wood frame with romantic decor.
