A superb portrait of the great man, his gaze fixed and sad.

 

In 1860, Félix Nadar founded the Nadar Studio at 35 Boulevard des Capucines, a veritable glass palace dedicated to photography. In 1872, facing financial difficulties, he was forced to move the studio to more modest premises on Rue d'Anjou.
