“Sir, I approve of you and thank you for appealing the judgment. I don't know where the case will be taken and I still don't know to whom you should give the documents. If it is at Auxerre that she has to plead again, I ask you to keep them. Otherwise, Mr. Arrault will tell you what to do with it. I have also instructed Mr. Arrault to pay my debts to you; but the debt of gratitude for your good care and your zeal, I keep with me so as to never forget it. Please receive here the sincere expression of this. »
