“Madam, Allow me to thank you very warmly for having been kind enough to send me Love has no season , adorned with a wonderfully generous and flattering delivery. I have just read this book with even more pleasure and interest because most of the characters have points of view on the world as it is and on life as it molds us, points of view that I do not like. I have no problem sharing. And what joy it is to be able, thanks to you, to place faces, names, destinies in this Saintonge that I pass through so often, and whose beautiful light I find between your pages. And yet, even more than in the Charentes, perhaps, it is the evocation, under your pen, of the irresistible and curiously triumphant charm that once existed upon entering Paris from the west that I I have one of my most vibrant emotions reading you. These joys which no longer exist must be written down. This one and several others are wonderful thanks to you. By an astonishing coincidence, my mother, who is calling me just now, and to whom I say that I am writing to you, is talking to me with enthusiasm about an article by you (I hope she doesn't make no mistake!) that she recently read about a park near Limoges. Because of you, she only dreams of this park, and promises to get there as quickly as possible! In short, the whole family owes you great joy and I would like to express to you, with my very respectful tributes, my warmest gratitude, Renaud Camus. »
