Radiguet is alluding here to the ballet Les Mariés de la tour Eiffel created collectively, in 1921, by Georges Auric, Arthur Honegger, Darius Milhaud, Francis Poulenc, and Germaine Tailleferre, to a libretto by Jean Cocteau (to which Radiguet contributed), and to which Irène Lagut created the sets.
