But I'm certainly not going to bombard you with my reasons, none of which would stick with you. Besides, imagine, I don't want to talk about myself! There is a precious respite there, which we would be crazy not to take advantage of. But you are right to think that it would have been difficult for me to be a professional soldier, something I seriously considered at least once.
