Cocteau, recovering from his heart attack, invites his friends Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir to Milly la Forêt.

A rare testimony to the friendly relationship between these three major figures of the 20th century intellectual and literary scene.

In 1954, Cocteau suffered his first heart attack, from which he recovered weakened, despite his convalescence at Santo Sospir.

wishes for balance in 1955 were rewarded by his election to the French Academy on March 3, to the seat of Jérôme Tharaud.
