Sidaner brought together his finest works for his 1905 exhibition at the Goupil Gallery in London.
"Dear Sir, As I am organizing a private exhibition at the Goupil Gallery in London for the month of February, I would like to bring together the best of my paintings from recent years . Would you allow me to ask if you would be so kind as to lend me two or three paintings from your collection: 1. The Garden with the House. Sunspots. 2. The Windows with the Dog. 3. The Uphill Street with the Old Houses. You have already been kind enough to lend me two of these works for the exhibition , and I would be most grateful if you would be so kind as to lend them to me again. The Georges Petit Gallery will arrange for the paintings to be shipped to London. All you would need to do is let them know when the paintings can be collected from you."
