Le Sidaner brought together his most beautiful works for his 1905 exhibition at the Goupil Gallery in London.

“Dear Sir, Organizing a special exhibition for the month of February at the Goupil gallery in London, I would like to be able to bring together the best of my paintings from recent years . Would you allow me to ask you if it would not be unpleasant for you to entrust me with two or three paintings that you own: 1° The Garden with the House. Sun Spots. 2° The windows with the dog 3° The rising street with the old houses. already been kind enough to lend me two of these works for the show and please accept my warmest thanks in advance if you would be so kind as to entrust them to me again. The Galerie Georges Petit is responsible for shipping the paintings to London. All you need to do is let them know when the paintings can be taken from you.”
