“Dear Sir, Madame Mignon Massart confirms to me that you were willing to introduce me to the Nantes public for the conference you are giving on Thursday March 4. I renew all my thanks to you by adding to the presentation that I gave you in my last letter the concern that I felt to make some transformations. The original text was aimed at an audience of young artists and had led me to a development of technical details which I gradually removed to expand on the great creators and the creation of their most moving works, between these two directives of light and color which remain the basis of the chosen theme. The subtlety that I seek at the heart of these works leaves me with the desire to be heard by an audience for whom the simplicity and inner beauty of the work remain..."
