"Dear Fred, I've been trying to reach you since this morning. Here's the situation. Pivot is dedicating his first show of the new season to children and teenagers, and he's invited me to participate in the Under-Sixteens segment. This show airs live on September 12th. If I go, I'll have to delay my departure for Sardinia and won't be able to join you until the 13th. Pivot has given me until Monday to decide. What should I do? On the one hand, I'm dying to tell them to go to hell and not delay my departure for Cagliari by even an hour; and on the other hand, I'm thinking (or rather, my press agent is telling me) that ' Ouvrez les guillemets' is a very important, widely watched show, and it's essential that I be there. What should I decide? You can see I'm indecisive, extremely embarrassed. I certainly don't want to cause you any extra worry (changing the date of my plane ticket, etc.). Really, what should I do? I'm having dinner out tonight, but you can call me even late, or better yet, tomorrow morning. I need your advice. Your faithful friend, Gabriel.
