Autograph letter signed to Marcel Thiébaut, director of the Revue de Paris.
Two octavo pages. Envelope. No place [1927]
Mauriac recommends Bernard Barbey's book, La Maladère, which he prefaced.
“Dear friend, have the books delivered. I will gladly do so because it is for you (as I do this every day and sometimes receive three such requests in the same letter!). The books will be left not with the concierge but with me . And it is at my place that they must be collected: it is safer. I would be delighted if you would read LaMaladère and recommend it to Bidon. I believe there is much more to this than a promise. See you soon, I hope, and cordially yours, Mauriac.”
