Magnificent preparatory study for La Rivière enchantée , a work illustrated by Foujita.
The Enchanted River, one of the most coveted artists' books among bibliophiles, was published by B. Klein in 1951. Foujita, at the height of his artistic mastery, illustrated a text by René Héron de Villefosse.
