Magnificent view – in the purest style of the artist's compositions – of the famous Marseille bridge, which has now disappeared. Note that it is from this same city of Marseille that Léger – fleeing the German occupation – will embark for the United States a few weeks later.

Drawing enriched with an autograph dedication signed in the lower left margin:
