“My dear friend, I will perhaps be forced to leave on Sunday morning : would there be a way to postpone our visit to Mr. Sirvouy until tomorrow Saturday at the same time: you would oblige me because I am very keen to see the beginning of his drawing and yet I would like to be able to leave on Sunday if it is absolutely necessary. Achille Sirouy (1834.1904), painter, engraver, lithographer, produced, in 1862, a striking engraved portrait of Delacroix based on a photo by Nadar.
