"Have you seen Jacques Brenner in the last three months? What's the status of number 3 from '84?"

“Dear friend, If you can come and see me, please send me a note. I received a check from René Lalou regarding the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles , and this check has been lost. In any case, it wasn't cashed at the bank on Rue de la Boétie. Would you be willing to give me René Lalou's address so that I can write to him and ask him to take the necessary steps? You should come and see me in Ivry before Monday. Have you seen Jacques Brenner in the last three months? What's the status of issue #3 of '84? I'll be waiting for you. Yours truly, Antonin Artaud.”

In addition to designing the cover, Artaud contributed to the third issue of 84 with his text "Paris-Warsaw", a sublime poem among the last cries uttered by the cursed poet.
The journal founded by the recipient of this letter, Marcel Bisiaux, gave Artaud a prominent place, both during his lifetime and after his death. The first four issues correspond chronologically to the last two years of Artaud's life, spent at the Ivry psychiatric hospital, from where this letter was sent.
