» Dear friend, If you can come see me send me a note. I received a check from René Lalou about the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles and this check was lost. In any case he was not touched at the bank on rue de la Boétie. Would you like to give me René Lalou's address so that I can write to him and ask him to do what is necessary? You should come see me in Ivry before Monday. Have you seen Jacques Brenner in the last three months? Where is number 3 of 84? I'm waiting for you. to you. Antonin Artaud. »

In addition to the cover design, Artaud collaborated on the third issue of 84 with his text “Paris-Warsaw”, a sublime poem among the last cries uttered by the accursed poet.

The magazine founded by the recipient of this letter, Marcel Bisiaux, gave Artaud a prominent place, during his lifetime and after his death. The first four deliveries correspond chronologically to the last two years of Artaud's life, spent at the Maison de Santé in Ivry, from where this letter was sent.
