André Citroën and the story of the Yellow Cruise.
"Sir, I am pleased to send you herewith one of the first copies of 'The Yellow Cruise,' an account of the Citroën Central Asia Expedition (3rd GM Haardt, Audoin-Dubreuil Mission) by Georges Le Fèvre, the Mission's historian. I hope these pages will capture your attention and I remain, Sir, yours sincerely. P.S. I am enclosing with this package a permanent entry pass to the Citroën Museum , which houses the Expedition's equipment, documents, and collections."
The Yellow Expedition, also known as the Central Asia Mission, took place from April 4, 1931, to February 12, 1932, and was one of the most extraordinary adventures of the 20th century , covering a distance of 13,000 km between Beirut, Beijing, and Saigon. For this third motorized expedition, following the crossing of the Sahara and the Black Expedition, André Citroën wanted this ambitious project to be considered from multiple perspectives: scientific, archaeological, human, and technological, thanks to advanced vehicles.
Mony Sabin was chief of staff to Théodore Steeg and the author of the book entitled Peace in Morocco.
