_____________________________________________

This drawn portrait represents Renée Jean, the wife of Modigliani's dearest friend during the Montparnasse years, the painter Moïse Kisling. Modigliani produced three drawings and two oils on canvas depicting the young woman, around 1917.

Our drawing certainly constitutes the preparatory sketch for the painting kept at the National Gallery of Washington.

Certificate from the Restellini Institute registered under number 2018/DE/50596
