In 1963, the meeting with the producer Jacques Canetti led Nicolas Treatt to photograph the main musicians and performers of the Parisian scene. It was during this period that bonds of friendship were forged with Serge Gainsbourg, with whom he shared the same Russian culture. The latter then entrusted him with the illustration of his album “Confidentiel” (1964).

The series from which it comes, reveals behind the scenes of the making of this major and minimalist album: from the intimacy of the composer to the work at home , to its recording in the studio.
